I offer Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (known as “KAP”) for adults 18 years and older.

KAP is a legal treatment option for those with either anxiety or “treatment-resistant” depression — depression that is long-term and hasn’t improved with either anti-depressants or therapy.

KAP involves receiving an evaluation from a doctor or nurse practitioner, potentially being prescribed a therapeutic dose of Ketamine to take in the safety and comfort of my office, and conducting a therapy session utilizing the benefits of Ketamine to support gaining insights and new perspectives on yourself and your issues.

Ketamine is known to many people as a street or party drug; though it has been utilized by some people this way, it is actually an incredibly safe medicine, used most commonly by doctors as a safe anesthetic for babies and elderly people in surgeries. In the last few decades, researchers discovered that Ketamine incidentally often has a positive effect on those suffering from depression - resetting a region of the brain called the “Default Mode Network,” a series of neural pathways responsible for ruminative, obsessive, “stuck” thinking patterns.
